THE KITCHEN
Meals are prepared every day by Arline, the cook. They are rice-based, served with meat, fish, eggs and garden vegetables depending on the season. Every Wednesday, Arline makes banana fritters.
A monthly donation from the company Copefrito makes it possible to serve an octopus or fish dish every week. Menus are also supplemented with unsold goods donated daily by the Score supermarket in Tuléar. Our sincere thanks to these generous donors.
THE GARDEN
A garden surrounds the buildings, where tomatoes, leafy greens and squash are grown. It also features fruit trees, including mango and banana trees.
THE DINING HALL
Three meals are served each day. At lunchtime, teachers and support staff sit around the large tables together with the children. On a rotating basis, the children take part in washing up, tidying and cleaning the dining room. When available, they also lend a hand in the kitchen.
