EDUCATION
Primary school children are educated at the Centre itself, across 4 classes ranging from Year 1 to Year 6.
Subjects taught include French, Malagasy, mathematics, history and geography, life and earth sciences, and civic education. Since last year, English lessons have also been introduced from Year 3 onwards.
Children must pass the Primary School Certificate (CEPE) to move on to secondary school.
This year, 29 secondary school pupils are enrolled across two schools:
- 14 at Fitaizasoa Secondary School
- 15 at Rabé Jules Secondary School
Both schools are modern and well-equipped, with highly qualified teachers. Students study English and have the option to learn Chinese. Year 7 and Year 8 pupils also benefit from additional English lessons at the Centre to complement their regular classes.
After obtaining the Lower Secondary Certificate (BEPC) at the end of Year 10, some students continue to upper secondary school. This year, 9 are following a vocational training programme at Don Bosco and 7 are pursuing a general academic curriculum.
The Centre continues to support young people in higher education. Currently, 2 young adults who have just completed training in hospitality and catering are on internships and actively looking for work.
Thanks to donations and sponsorships, we also fund 10 university students:

THE GUIDANCE COMMITTEE
A guidance committee has been in place since the start of the 2020 school year. It is composed of Mrs Rita, the Director, Lyse and Eric, volunteer managers at Nathanaël AF.B.S., and is led by Hery, a Malagasy native of Tuléar living abroad.
Regular interviews are held with the children and play a vital role in helping them choose their future path and set goals to achieve it.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Children are welcomed regardless of their beliefs or religion. Religious education classes are compulsory in all Malagasy schools.
Every Monday morning, after the flag-raising ceremony and the national anthem, a prayer intention is read by a teacher. The same takes place every Friday evening after the flag is lowered.
Each day at lunchtime, the children say grace before the meal.
