At the Centre, children take part in a variety of sports, play board games and can learn sewing. These activities support their physical development and social life, while teaching them solidarity and self-discipline.

BREAK TIME & PLAY

Dodgeball, football, basketball, skipping rope, knucklebones, stone drawings, puzzles and many other activities fill the children's break times.

READING

Books are scarce in Madagascar. The Nathanael Centre is fortunate to have a library, stocked with books donated by volunteers and visitors. Each week, under the supervision of their class teacher, primary school children choose a book to keep until the following week.

IT & COMPUTERS

The Centre has several computers brought from France by Hervé, a volunteer manager, and by Garance, a sponsor. Additional devices were generously provided by the company CMA-CGM.

An external technician regularly handles maintenance and delivers IT classes.

The computers are available to secondary school pupils, high school students and university students. They are used to exchange emails with sponsors, carry out research for their studies, watch documentaries and films, and take part in online chess lessons.

SEWING

The company CMA-CGM provided the Centre with 10 sewing machines. Every Wednesday afternoon, Mrs Sitraka comes to give cutting and sewing classes.
